TransCo hosts forum, mini bazaar on International Women’s Day

In celebration of the International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8 March, the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) conducted a virtual forum on women’s leadership and hosted mini-bazaar in support of women-led social enterprise.

Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director Ms. Noreen Boots Gocon-Gragasin discussed the value of coaching and mentoring to help women boost their confidence in the workplace. She also highlighted every person’s role in ensuring that the workplace is safe from discrimination and harassment.

Talino Ventures Labs Chief Marketing Officer Nina Terol, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of developing a culture of empathy among leaders, regardless of sex, especially in times of uncertainties and complexities.

For EURAXESS Worldwide Regional Coordinator Dr. Jenny Lind Elmaco, true leadership happens when women leaders enable co-women to also succeed. She likewise emphasized the beauty of “leadership in the shadows” or learning when to step back so that other women may also claim their spotlight.
