TransCo-GFPS undergo training on GAD analysis, GA tools
As part of its continuous deepening sessions on Gender and Development (GAD) Mainstreaming, the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo)’s GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members attended a webinar that aimed to enhance their capacities in identifying gender gaps and differences.
On 22 March 2022, 15 GFPS members were acquainted on the importance of Gender Analysis (GA) as an approach to address persisting gender issues in the organization and in the performance of its mandates. The participants also had the opportunity to review the use of GA tools such as the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) that measures the extent of gender mainstreaming efforts of organizations and the Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG) that is used to ensure that programs and projects undertaken by the government in their various stages are gender responsive.
The three-hour webinar was facilitated by FORA Strategic Communications Consultancy, Inc. with Vichel Rse Juguilon-Pangan, a member of the National GAD Resource Pool, as resource person.
