In line with the National National Gender and Development Resource Program (NGRP) of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and TransCo’s gender mainstreaming effort, the members of TransCo’s GAD Focal Point System participated in a 6-part webinar series led by the PCW.
Webinar series tackled GAD Concepts and SOGIESC, Fundamentals of Gender Mainstreaming and Gender Analysis. GFPS members learned more about the strategic usage of HGDG to mainstream GAD elements in the Project Development Cycle. Participants learned the importance of HGDG in gender-responsive project development cycle, and realize that applying HGDG as a tool significantly influences the rest of the agencies’ processes/programs to be gender-responsive.
The last two days of the webinar series, conducted via Facebook live, were the most vital part of the series where GAD Planning and Budgeting and GAD Agenda were tackled.
