In a proactive move to bolster existing GAD programs, projects, and activities and to intensify its gender mainstreaming initiatives, the TransCo GFPS-Technical Working Group and GAD-attributed program implementers convened for a strategic GAD Planning Session on 3 October 2023.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Jemelle Zamora-Milanes, an independent GAD consultant and a member of the PCW’s NGRP. Under Ms. Zamora-Milanes’ guidance, the participants re-assessed the gender responsiveness of current programs using the Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG) Tool while presenting additional initiatives aimed at furthering the corporation’s commitment to gender mainstreaming, which includes the GAD attribution of Small Island Grid System Operation in Mindoro Islands.
Concurrently, TransCo’s proposed GAD Plan and Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 were updated and finalized.
