Ma. Rene Ann Lourdes G. Matibag to serve as the event\u2019s Keynote Speaker. Rep. Matibag is a member of the House of Representatives Committee on Energy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal x_ContentPasted0\">In her speech, she said that NWMC amplifies women\u2019s voice to bright forth women\u2019s achievements in various fields, and emphasized that the celebration is the perfect time to re-echo the situation of women who are victims of abuse, sexism, and discrimination, and to likewise reflect the importance of gender equality in society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal x_ContentPasted0\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">&nbsp;<\/span>\u201cI challenge everyone to take an active step. We can all be movers of change for the betterment of our society. We can be the change we want to see. It all starts with our personal commitment,\u201d Rep.
